More than 300 local and Dutch entrepreneurs, representatives of the Curaçao and Dutch government and others, gathered on the 21st and 22nd of January during the first successful Bon Bini for Business Summit on Curaçao. The goal of the Summit is to attract Dutch investors to Curaçao, to get to know the local entrepreneurs and business owners, creating investment opportunities that lead to more jobs and economic growth.
The Bon Bini for Business Summit is an initiative of premier Eugene Rhuggenaath of Curaçao and premier Mark Rutte of the Netherlands. It took place at the Renaissance Curaçao Resort & Casino.
Local ministers such as Steven Martina (Minister of Economic Development) and Zita Jesus-Leito and State Secretary of Kingdom Relations Raymond Knops all gave valuable input to the Summit.
At the end of the Summit, minister President Eugene Ruggenaath proudly announced that there will be a second Summit in the third quarter of this year, which will be all about achieving the ‘Smart City’ concept for our inner city, using technology and more focus on our national heritage.
