Curacao International Airport has fully recovered from the negative consequences of the covid pandemic and is reporting better passenger numbers than those of 2019. The recovery amounts to 101 percent compared to 2019, the reference year for achieving pre-pandemic traffic figures. Hato counted almost one and a half million arriving and departing passengers. Nearly 590,000 international passengers departed from the airport, a growth of six percent. Almost 700 thousand passengers arrived at Hato, an increase of four percent. The decrease was in passenger traffic to Aruba and Bonaire, which was twenty percent short of reaching the same level of 2019.
