Water & Electricity
In Curaçao, water and electricity are supplied by a company called Aqualectra. Since there are relatively few connections on the island, the cost of water and electricity are higher than in the Netherlands. Current rates can be found on the website of Aqualectra. Many rental properties have a prepaid system for electricity, this is called Pagatinu. For this, a code can be purchased to top up electricity. Gas connections do not exist on the island, houses have gas supplied in bottles.
