Plasa Bieu has re-opened its doors to the public on April 1st after an extensive remodel and update, emphasizing the infrastructure, hygiene, ambiance and safety.
The electrical and venting installations are completely renewed. There has been invested in a completely new flooring and ceiling system, preventing dust collection in the eating area, using the same quality as used in the new hospital. Hygienic, durable and easy to clean.
The central space has been provided with natural ventilation and sunlight, by an open roof construction in the roof. The whole roof has been reconstructed with asbestos-free plates and new fire preventing/fighting equipment has been installed.
The kitchens have been sealed to prevent pests and air quality has been optimized with new and powerful suction hoods for excessive smoke.
The economic importance of Plasa Bieu goes way back to the origin of the city. It is an important point of sale for locally grown products and cultural phenomenon because of the authentic local cuisine that is being offered to the local inhabitants as well as visitors from abroad. Besides that, it offers a work environment for over 30 local people.
