Living in Coral Estate

Coral Estate is a unique resort with high quality living. There are permanently residents in villas and second homes of owners from all over the world. The inhabitants are an international mix of people from different backgrounds. Including families with young children, people with an international career in a multinational company, a trust company or banking, or seniors/pensionados, enjoying their time and the freedom to sit back and enjoy. From the guarded entrance, the resort offers only one main road access the Coral Estate Center, and the roads with villas in the resort. Coral Estate is divided in generous plots surrounded by greenery with beautifully landscaped and manicured gardens.

Amenities and services

Coral Estate Services is the management organization of Coral Estate, located on the resort. The organization is among other things responsible for the maintenance and 24/7 monitoring of the entire resort. A professional team takes care of the owners of a villa in Coral Estate. With garden and pool maintenance, cleaning and optionally a shopping service.

The focal point of the resort is the Coral Estate Center. Here the residents and guests can enjoy the luxurious facilities. Relax and enjoy a day at the beach, take extensive time to have lunch in the shade of a palapa or time for a delicious dining in the luxurious restaurant with a magnificent view of the Caribbean Sea. The Coral Estate Center offers among other the following facilities; a well-known beach club & restaurant called “Karakter”, a diving center, a large swimming pool with service, a gym with spa and wellness center, several shops and a business center with conference facilities.

Environment

Coral Estate is situated on the south coast of the island in a beautiful setting. On one side is a lake which is adjacent to to the ancient and famous salt pans. Here you can often find flamingos, who find their food in the salt water. These salt pans were used by the salt plantation Rif St. Marie, one of the oldest plantations on the island. Of this plantation are some ruined walls visible. On the other side of the resort is the Caribbean Sea with beautiful white beaches including the Porto Marie Bay and “Daaibooi baai”. There are plenty of opportunities in the area to enjoy the beautiful Caribbean nature.

At a short distance the town of St. Willibrord in which the great Roman Catholic Church is a focus point, lies The village that bears this name since the inauguration of the neo-Gothic church. Before that time, the place was called Outer Bosch. The town is also known for one of the oldest remaining houses in Curacao, house Jan Cook. It was built in 1840 to replace an earlier house. The house takes its name from the 18th century slave master Jan Cook. From the terrace of the house there is a magnificent view over the salt pans.
