CPA has big plans for the area of the Waaigat and the Sint Annabay, in order to promote the historical heritage of Downtown Willemstad amongst tourists and locals.
Recently, the plans have been presented to foreign investors.
Plans include; a bridge over the water, a small harbour, a city beach and a complex with restaurant, office and living residences. Besides that, boardwalks and parking space will be created.
In order to succeed, the first step is to improve the water quality of the Waaigat with a new waste structure and installation.
CPA has calculated that the execution of the plans will create jobs for 1.633 people.
