CURACAO BORDERS OPENED UP FOR MORE VISITORS

Direct flights from the American state of Florida are allowed to land on Curaçao since Monday, October 17th. Travelers from Aruba and St. Maarten are also welcome again. However, passengers must be able to submit a negative corona test.

Curaçao has opened the airport to fifteen Caribbean islands and 35 countries. Previously, direct flights from New York, New Jersey and Connecticut and also from Canada were allowed. These all come under the heading of countries and areas with a moderate risk. Visitors from The Netherlands have been able to fly back to Curaçao for a long time. If they can hand over a negative test, they don’t have to be quarantined. These rules also apply to visitors from countries such as Germany, Italy, Hong Kong, Austria, China, Taiwan and Suriname.

United Airlines will restart weekly Saturday service from Newark non-stop to Curacao as of November 7, 2020 and on December 2nd they will start with a daily service from Miami.  JetBlue announced that they will restart a twice-weekly non-stop service from New York – JFK as of Wednesday, December 9, 2020.
